PLASTIC
Plastic tells the story of four children, four
lives, four families devastated by a weapon created by the British army in
1974. A weapon designed to be used on the streets of Northern Ireland. A
non-lethal weapon, used for riot control. A ‘harmless’ weapon that took the
lives of 17 innocent victims.
Plastic Follows the lives of 4 children.
Innocent victims Francis Rowntree and Julie
Livingston robbed of their lives.
And Margaret McGuinness and Aine McCabe, robbed
of their parents.
The play spans the decades. Giving an insight
into how each of these innocent victim’s lives have been changed irreversibly
by a harmless piece of plastic.
Developed by Tom alongside the United Campaign Against Plastic Bullets, this new theatre and short film productions documents how plastic bullets have effected the lives of the families whose loved ones were killed by them.
The project will be released in the autumn of 2025, with a stage show to follow in early 2026.
