The Reminiscence Films
Written for c21 Theatre Company, Tom developed four short films 'The Nun', 'The Boxer', 'Man About The House' and 'The Mill' to be included in c21's Through The Looking Glass collection.
The project took place in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic and was developed in partnership with local care homes. Through The looking Glass was a project designed to engage the care home residents in arts workshops exploring memory and reminiscence story telling.
Tom developed the scripts for The Nun, The Boxer, Man About The House and The Mill based on the stories of the residents shared during the interactive reminiscence workshops.
The scripts were then curated by c21 alongside images, poems and music in a set of short films exploring the themes of Work, school, community and home. The films were then shown to the residents during private screening events as well as being released to the general public through Youtube.
